<div class="ck-content" data-wrapper="true" dir="ltr" style="--ck-image-style-spacing: 1.5em; --ck-inline-image-style-spacing: calc(var(--ck-image-style-spacing) / 2); font-family: Segoe UI; font-size: 11pt;"><p style="margin: 0; text-align: justify;">Greek labour law is primarily regulated by the <strong>Labour Code</strong> (Law 4808/2021 on Labour Protection) and the <a href="https://www.kodiko.gr/nomothesia/document/406959/p.d.-219-2000" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>Act on the Posting of Workers</strong></a> (Presidential Decree 219/2000, as amended by Law 4093/2012 and Law 4415/2016), which transpose the Posting of Workers Directive, the Enforcement Directive and Directive 2018/957/EU into Greek legislation.</p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: justify;"><br><strong>The Act on the Posting of Workers:</strong></p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p><ul style="list-style-position: inside;"><li data-list-item-id="e1847274c02b5a4b69fa20ba055fc590f"><p style="margin: 0; text-align: justify;"><strong>Regulates employment conditions</strong>, mandating that employers posting workers to Greece must guarantee them the same terms and conditions of employment as those applicable in the host country, either through national law or universally applicable collective agreements. This includes provisions on minimum rest periods, maximum working time, minimum paid annual holidays, remuneration (including all mandatory elements) as defined in national law and universally applicable collective agreements, OSH, protective measures for pregnant women/women who have recently given birth and young people (under the age of 18), equal treatment between men and women, conditions of workers' accommodation in the host country, and allowances or reimbursement of expenditure to cover travel, board and lodging costs when required during the posting assignment.</p></li><li data-list-item-id="e89c9cd93a5570b4b8b6e18e1bc6f8788"><p style="margin: 0; text-align: justify;"><strong>Defines a ‘worker’ </strong>as any person bound by a dependent employment relationship and employed by an undertaking within the scope of its application (Article 2(1) of <a href="https://www.kodiko.gr/nomothesia/document/716690/p.d.-30-2021" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">PD No. 30/2021</a>).</p></li><li data-list-item-id="ec53ffcfb4afc5cac391b6c39a8beac74"><p style="margin: 0; text-align: justify;"><strong>Defines a ‘posted worker’ </strong>as any worker who usually works in the territory of another EU Member State or European Economic Area (EEA), who is posted by the undertaking to the territory of Greece to carry out their work for a limited period of time, within its scope of application (Article 2(2)).</p></li><li data-list-item-id="e6ecd66467375f25bd8ba368a9d44b4f6"><p style="margin: 0; text-align: justify;"><strong>Applies to all posted workers</strong>, including TCNs legally residing in Greece and posted to/from the country. While posted workers remain affiliated with their home country’s social security system, they must receive the same minimum working conditions applicable in Greece under law or universally applicable collective agreements.&nbsp;</p></li></ul></div>
